Jim Nelson is an outspoken proponent of the BC school system & ex principal in the BC school system. Jim Nelson like countless others who are employed (or collecting a school pension) aggressively attack anyone who exposes dysfunction in their industry. Leaders such as school principals & superintendents should be addressing issues of reported child abuse, corrupt Sec.177 law used by school principals & child protection issues in BC schools, but instead choose to aggressively lash out at those who question the BC school system. This is termed "Tribalism". Jim Nelson & now ex school trustee Patti Bacchus went onto Twitter to claim Sec.177 is seldom used. These statements were untrue as Sec.177 has been used over 100 times in BC. Click Here

(note: the Canadian government during the 19th & 20th centuries & it's school administrators employed within Indian Residential Schools (which included British Columbia) were able to deflect repeated cries for help by good school administrators (& other concerned persons) who suspected, witnessed & reported children being sexually & physically abused in these schools. Tribalism is not benign. (38,000 instances of abuse in Indian Residential Schools in Canada that was actively hidden for too many decades)
